This budget worksheet was originally prepared many years ago as a printed document & recently updated for a customer. We decided to 'take it to the next level' and added some Javascript, allowing employees to test their own spending.  Given recent events, we believe it is time to tighten the belt. This worksheet is functional, though no personal data is collected.
If loaded within Younicycle, it could collect data and show an employee how to redirect their reduced spending to increase their 401k, charted & personalized with future values. This was created with Younicycle, as was this entire site.
Your money tree.A limited resource.
The $100 challenge
Years ago, our grandparents & great-grandparents had an odd & disciplined technique that allowed them to survive during difficult times. Most Americans have long forgotten this discipline and become puzzled when their wallet or pocketbook 'goes dry'.
"What happened?           Whom can I blame?           It must be 'someone' else's fault!"
We can't control the price of oil, corn or the value of the Euro vs the dollar. What we can control is our own personal spending habits and as with oil, treat our own money as a limited resource that must be conserved and whenever possible, saved.
Spend 1 hour and find $100 of unncessary or frivilous spending. It's there, justlook for it. Worth your time? $100 x 12 = $1,200. Not bad for 1 hour of effort.
This page is included within Younicycle as an example & easily amended for your needs.
